Copycat Lotus Biscoff Caramelized Biscuit Sauce

A copycat recipe for Llaollao's famous caramelized biscuit sauce, excellent for drizzling on ice cream and other desserts.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ¼ cup brown or red sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon golden syrup
  • 2 tablespoons full cream milk OR whipping cream
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 4 tablespoons Biscoff spread
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla essence

Instructions
 

  • In a small, microwave-safe bowl, add the butter.  Transfer to your microwave and heat on High until melted, about 30 seconds.
  • Add the brown sugar, syrup, milk or cream, and salt.  Stir to combine.
  • Place the bowl in the microwave and heat on High for 1 minute.  The mixture will be bubbling.
  • Stir in Biscoff Spread until completely incorporated and smooth.  Stir in the vanilla essence.
  • The sauce will thicken a bit as it cools; if it’s too thick just add a bit more milk or cream.
