Malasnya…

Bored. Lazy. Bored. 😛

So bored that I slept through most of the day today, but too lazy to update the weblog. Well, I didn’t have access to the Internet where I was the whole day, so consider myself excused.

Was at RSYC (Royal Selangor Yacht Club) today. I was the driver as always. My sister went sailing, my brother went swimming, and I slept. As always. 😀 My sister taking part in the sailing exhibition at Tanjung Harapan next weekend, in lieu with the Sultan of Selangor’s.. er.. installation. Me, being my lazy self, will steer clear of the water till that is over with. Somehow I’ve lost the mood to sail, especially in front of the masses.

In any case, if any of you are interested in watching the sail past + exhibition, just drive down to Tanjung Harapan, Port Klang. There’ll be booths and staff to answer sailing related questions. Hopefully one of them won’t be me.

Ooh, sailing special on TV3 as I’m typing this. But sailing is not just tacking and spinnakers; there’s much more to it than that. Am I too elaborate now? Nah…

As the only capable driver in this household, I had to send my sis to her friend’s farewell party in D’sara Heights. Went to look for food after that, but it sucked going out to eat alone, so I called Kr0mium up and we stopped by at Mahbubs before spending the rest of the night at Omaha’s. Oh, and I did pick my sister up, and she happily joined our CS session. 🙂

Bull..

..sh*t! Praise them once and the next day they kick you down the gutter. I’ve told you before about how Streamyx sucks. Well, that’s confirmed now, big time! It’s no longer an annoyance now; it’s a deliberate attempt to screw TMnet’s paying customers.

And why is it that cheap things here have to be crappy? Broadband elsewhere is cheap, but they’re nowhere at all fuctup like what we have here. And it’s not just TMnet cuz we have local cars like that too. ‘Belilah barangan Malaysia’, ‘Kualiti Malaysia’; Quality my fuckin’ ass!

The army’s moving in the right direction, but the soldiers are delinquents and the march is out-of-step!

Well, back to what was supposed to be yesterday’s entry.

There was concern in my unit that we may have to work over the full weekend to get some things ready for the next payroll (I’m in HR, btw). My brain didn’t readily accept the idea, so I geared up and somehow managed to finish everything last night (to my own amazement). Not that I’m usually lazy or anything, it’s just that when you’re doing work, you gotta keep in balance. I.e. not too hard but not too lembik. Can’t be too slow if you wanna keep your job and you can’t be too fast if you wanna preserve your sanity and keep your hair dark. Speaking of which, I already have 1 or 2 uban. 🙁

Two top dogs of the HR dept of my company took me out for tea. And I quite enjoyed it actually. Both of them had been working here since ages ago, but they were very friendly with us newbies. That’s one of my goals now: to still remain nice and friendly after years of corporate torture. There are a lot of bosses who seem like they have something stuck up their asses (and whirring at that), and they just think too highly of themselves.

Went for dinner with some colleagues at Seoul, Pantai Junction. The food’s good (maybe b’cause I cooked it? :D) and amazingly I didn’t suffer any digestive problems over the night.

After that, got home, couldn’t log onto the net, cursed, read newspapers instead. Yawn.

Manga downloaded and read before Streamyx downtime:
Agharta Volumes 1-2

Uh oh.

Just realized I left my phone at the office. Luckily I was one of the last to leave the project room, so it should still be there now. Just hope it’s still there in the morning…

Looks like Solat Hajat tonight.

Ugh, that means I’ll have to wake earlier too.

Kirei…

Bumped into an old neighbour in the elevator. So so pretty… reminded me why I studied Japanese in the first place. :O~ Time to get cracking! 😀

She and her mom just got back from a saree party. Well, they said they went to a party, and they all wore sarees, so .. anyways .. it’s cool to see non-Malaysians trying to get involved in our culture; it just shows just how much better we could do to promote understanding with one another.

And I finished reading all the manga I downloaded earlier. And that was before dinner. 😀 Shockingly enough, Beck Chapter 29 had boobies!!! :O

Chop Chop, Back to Work!

This has been the slowest day at work (as far as I can recall). Most of my tasks have been delegated to others, so I spent most of the time fixing up VM‘s website and email system. Although they say “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”, I’m not a true believer.

Well, Streamyx seems to be back to normal. Hopefully it stays that way. I just don’t see how service can be so bad. 4 years in the US, and my ISP never went down a single time (I know, because I was running a server 24/7). The prices were a lot better too. Something’s really wrong here don’t you think?

And no, I’m not in favor of the US president regardless of how much I speak highly of the US. As people say, a bad apple spoils the barrel or something like that. 😀

Manga being downloaded:
Basara Volume 11 Chapter 39
Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou (Record of a Yokohama Shopping Trip) Volume 7 Chapter 64
Beck Volume 10 Chapter 29!!!!!

Looks like the family’ll be going out for dinner tonight. No more food to cook at home, so it’s the first trip to TMC this month!

Yes, as you can see,

Yes, as you can see, this is now my not-really-a-weblog weblog. Weblog for short.

Anyways, it’s been a while since I’ve had a holiday. Actually, not quite, but to me a week of work seems to stretch on forever. I dunno, I guess I’ve always had something against earning a living. A love-hate relationship; love payday, hate the rest of it.

Manga read since last entry:
Flame of Recca Volume 26 Chapters 1-5

Movies watched:
Monsters Inc.
Porn. Just kidding.

My First Weblog Entry

Well, well. I now have my very own weblog. Would I be cooler now? More approachable? Doubt it.

The idea of creating a blog had been in my mind for such a long time. But I always wondered what the heck was I supposed to talk about, so the thought never materialised. This particular website was more of an experiment to see if my server could handle MT-like web programs. (It works! Blatant ad: Subscribe with virtualmystic for all your MT needs!)

Well, now that I do have a blog, I might as well start looking for stuff to put here. Nothing utterly interesting, I’m afraid, so don’t expect much. No introduction about myself, either :P. And yes, I allow you to not visit this website every other day, and I won’t be depressed by it. Nope, not at all.

To end this entry, I give you a list of manga I’ve read, books I’ve read, and movies I’ve watched in recent days. Told you not to expect anything. 🙂

Manga read:
Streamyx sux. Couldn’t download much lately.

Books read:
Firesong by William Nicholson (hope I spelled that right). 3rd and final installation of the Wind Singer trilogy. Great read, I tell ya.

Movies watched:
Ringu 0, Ringu, Ringu 2, The Ring, and Dark Water. The good stuff. 🙂
