If you want to blame anyone, blame piffles. ๐Ÿ˜›

These are the rules: Each player of this game starts out by giving 6 weird things about themselves. People who get tagged need to write in a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state the rules clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. After you do that, leave them each a comment letting them know you tagged them and to read your blog!

So, let’s start with the obvious ones. ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. i can eat and eat, but never gain weight. yup, i can never seem to get past 55kg. prolly have this huge tapeworm in my colon. ๐Ÿ˜›
  2. i’m too fussy. main reason why i’m single. so many girls, each with their own wonderful but unique traits… sigh.. rambang mata liao.
  3. i like tempoyak. muhuhahaha!
  4. i think i have what it takes to be a songwriter. in fact, i think i can do a lot of things, but i’m just lazy.
  5. i have a 100gb partition on my hard drive dedicated to notti things. ๐Ÿ˜€
  6. i subconsciously dig my nose when i sleep. ๐Ÿ˜› and i can subconsciously throw the results into the basket, which is of course situated next to my bed.

I hereby compel thee to reveal thy weird self:-

temerloh

after you travel, you usually describe the sights, and stuff that make a place special. for places in malaysia, it’s usually food!

same goes for this quaint little town in Pahang called Temerloh. takes 2 hours to get here from KL northwards via highway, and i can talk abt it being next to the huge Sungai Pahang, but it’s not that much of a deal.

the best thing about Temerloh is its specialty dish: Ikan Patin Gulai Tempoyak! we found this nice place next to the river, and next to a sewing shop, that serves this every lunch hour.

ikan patin is basically a type of fish that’s quite big and can be found in this river. some of us call it a naughty fish cuz it eats everything, hence its size. you usually find its meat steamed or simmered, never fried, cuz it’s too soft and flaky.

tempoyak is fermented durian. durian is the king of fruits here in malaysia, for taste and ‘nasal impression’. tempoyak tastes great, especially with sambal belacan. but for most, it’s an acquired taste.

ikan patin + tempoyak = bliss. every time i balik kampung to Raub for a kenduri, they’ll always have it! and here in Temerloh is where the main ingredient comes from. our group of 6 cleaned out 3 bowls of it. should’ve eaten more, cuz now that i’m back, i yearn for more…

Oh Proton, what woes thou hast…

Just finished a discussion revolving around (what else?) the stock market. Won’t go into the technicalities and conclusions we came to since this isn’t what this blog is about.

There was however one interesting point that was raised which I thought I might post here. R (one of my regular round-tablers for the stockmarket) kicked of a discussion on Proton and its numerous ailments – my, it does look terminal from my perspective – and he commented that Proton’s inventory buildup is high enough such that they’re going to take (further) drastic measures to pare it down.

He said that one of the things Proton will be doing is to push its stocks of Wiras and Iswaras off at below RM30K each. I was a little startled to hear that, but R emphasised that this has been publicly stated by the current Proton boss.

So to Myuu who might be thinking (or rather, required) of changing cars, that’s something to keep in mind. A Wira may not be sexy, it may have just a barely adequate powerplant (or to put it in geekspeak, it’s a Pentium 2 compared to what’s around us now) but let’s face it, parts for it are dirt cheap and maintainence wise any mechanic operating from under a tree can fix it.

And to Fish who already has a Wira, I feel your (depreciation) pain man even though you say you don’t intend to sell it for a number of years.

So to all readers, keep an eye out for Proton’s promotions if you’re in the market for a new car.

kazakhstan, number one!

Borat. ๐Ÿ˜› nuff said.

Fish has the rest of Belgariad and Malloreon! he just needs to get em from another friend of ours. ๐Ÿ™‚ read a few pages before dinner at borders the curve while my bro was having his haircut. easy reading. ๐Ÿ™‚

cuzzie left me a copy of Lady Friday, gonna start on that on my trip to Temerloh on monday. won’t be staying over since it’s only a 2 hr drive away, but a trip’s a trip. hopefully i’ll get to savor ikan patin masak tempoyak or sambal tempoyak. ๐Ÿ˜€

i won’t ask

we met, but though you seemed so cold
so distant, detached, not a glance to behold
but i won’t ask.

again, this time, your irritation shows
it’s so obvious, i’m not that slow
but i won’t ask.

curiosity grows, i can’t help but wonder
what sparked this sudden surge of anger
but i won’t ask.

joyous occasions come and go
demo, boku wo wasureta deshou ใ€Œใงใ‚‚ใ€ๅƒ•ใ‚’ๅฟ˜ใ‚ŒใŸใงใ—ใ‚‡ใ†ใ€?
so i won’t ask.
