broken visual editor

i was having trouble editing today’s youtube post. seems that wordpress likes to put nonsense in between OBJECT tags. so i went out in search for a plugin that’ll let me embed youtube videos easily, and while i found a few, they don’t seem to work well with the visual editor.

as a matter of fact, none of the plugins that affect the visual editor works. 🙁

but i still want my videos! so i’ve decided to just disable the damned visual editor until the wordpress or tinymce developers can figure out what’s wrong.

so to all co-authors, please disable the visual editor for yourself under “My Profile”.

today’s wow update

Level 61. Will hit 62 soon. Been wasting too much time in Azeroth still, helping lowbies do Scholomance. Well, not really lowbies, but lower than me at least. 😛 They’d be happy with the loot they have, but i’d be swearing with all the repair bills after so many wipes. There’s only so much you can achieve with everyone being level 56-58 except yourself. *sigh*

But even with the hiccups, I’ve still managed to get my epic mount! Yes, 50 AV tokens and 540g now allows me to go faster than before. Yay! Now I have 9 levels to save 800g for a flying mount. -___-

Also, while still being relatively low-level for Outland instances, I’ve managed to do some of Ramparts and Blood Furnace. Thanks to some e-pals from PaganSpiral. They’re awfully good and well-coordinated during instance runs, although I think they’re on Ventrilo fulltime. So I managed to pick up a whole lot of goodies from those two runs, being the only squishie in the group. Check out the armory for my goodies. 🙂

And, I’ve finally participated in a WDK guild raid! We did Zul’Gurub right after I finished Blood Furnace, and it was really more like a hit and run raid to get the Hakkar buff for their next Gruul’s Lair run. T’was chaotic… I missed at least one upgrade, and by the time things slowed down a bit there wasn’t any left. 😛 Well, it was still fun though. 😀

i did read the first few chapters of the manga before but wasn’t overly impressed. guess i didn’t read enough, since reviews were raving all abt it.

hot, as in the weather

once again, the weather is just as turbulent as the four seasons in england. just before it rains, one cannot help but to perspire and need have the fan blowing in your face. of course, you’d think the air-conditioning would help! but then it becomes too cold… geez, so difficult to adjust to the temperature one!

hot hot HOT. i can’t stand it! perspiration after a shower sucks.

walking around the house in a pair of itty bitty shorts and a sleeveless top doesn’t seem to help either.

i am prepared! i think.

i finally made it to the Outland! i was deciding between sticking to the levelling guide (i was at the level 55 part but i’m already 58) and abandoning everything to walk through the Dark Portal. i thought since i already have all these quests, i might as well stick to it. and since i can get to the Outlands now, i might as well go there and see what’s there, and hopefully level up some of my professions (master enchanter in a city vs master enchanter in a dungeon ><).

Shattrath City is still quite far inland from the portal. stuck at Thrallmar at the moment. but damn, after doing some quests, i’ve pretty much replaced some of my more important gear. and the xp is insane: i get an average of 100k for each quest and 500 unrested for mobs. i was rested when i started and seeing myself getting 1000xp per pop was nice. 😀

think i’ll stay around here for a while. 😛

social night

took some time off WoW wednesday night. Fish made the call and there we were at Midvalley. my bro had class that night anyways, and me being the designated driver of the house, i thought might as well stay out.

so i had to drive straight from the office back home to pick him up, then to his tuition center at pj new town. crawled through the jam on federal to get back to midvalley by 7pm.

anyway, henry and yen joined us there for nandos. merv and viv were supposed to come too but they didn’t make their fashionably late entrance. 🙂 somehow i felt like the meals there have become smaller…

after that we just walked around jalan2 to kill some time before 10. az bought supper?/breakfast? at bread talk, then we went to carrefour to look for compressed air (which none of the shops in this country seems to have), then into harvey norman’s looking at mice and flatscreen tvs, then finally into toys r us.

it’s been a while since i’ve set foot into a toy shop. not sure about the rest, but i know merv always does. 😛 kinda interesting toys they have nowadays. there was a TMX on display, but it had weak batteries so it didn’t perform well. oh, and i bumped into a colleague too. small world.

so yeah, time out from WoW, time out from home. time out from my mom who’s mad at me for playing too much WoW and forgetting everything else. sigh.

refresh problem fixed

yay, blog is now a-ok. did an upgrade of suphp to version 0.6.2 and the php executable doesn’t hang anymore. was also looking at installing fastcgi for the heck of it, but that didn’t work out. too complicated for such a simple problem.

in any case, what helped me was this firefox addon called firebug.  helps you debug your websites, and i believe even lets you change code on the fly to see how it’s like. if you’re a website owner, you’ll love this! it actually helped me isolate which php script was taking long to load. 🙂 and of course, it’s free!

the company’s payroll guru has tendered her resignation. and i’m asked to replace her.

the lives of 25k employees will be within my control! muhuhahaha~

i wish.

sigh, honestly, it’s just more headaches on an already overflowing platter. maybe i should resign too and make my living as a WoW gold farmer instead.
