so my microwave has been busted for quite a while now. twould be a shame if we just threw it away so i called up *Bleep* Malaysia and the person on the line gave me the address of its service centre in Taman Subang Mas.
if you know about this Taman, it’s some really dodgy looking area along the Shah Alam/Subang border.
funny thing is, i also get a handphone number to contact for directions. didn’t know their help desk was a one man show, but oh well.
so i get there, and it’s basically this grilled shoplot containing tons of washing machines (not to self, don’t buy *bleep* washing machines). Soma Trading it’s called. i give them a quick rundown of what’s wrong with the appliance, and they slap me with an RM60 deposit.
i’ve had my microwave serviced before, but i don’t recall having to pay any deposit. but anyhows, i just give them my money with the hope that the repairs will only cost as much.
it didn’t help that when i looked at some of the stuff they had to repair, a few of them had like documentation originating from section 13, PJ. that made me wonder if i could’ve saved all the trouble and just delivered my microwave there.
oh, and btw, they also spectacularly dropped a washing machine while trying to transport it out of the shop.
so yes, i just have this tiny feeling that i’m about to be screwed over. stupid *bleep*. their website has a centre locator, but only for locations outside of klang valley. what happened to the rest? don’t tell me i’m supposed to assume that your Jaya 33 office is where i’m supposed to go, or i’m supposed to call for info? what if the guy who answered the phone had ulterior motives, rerouting all service calls so that he or she can line his or her own pockets instead?
seriously *bleep*, putting doubt like this in your customers’ minds is not the way to go.
