there i was, hungry for food and McDonald’s came to mind. i ordered a value meal for takeaway and the cashier informed me i had to wait for 3 minutes for my burger. she told me to sit down.
and so i did. assuming she’d bring my order to me, i flipped through a copy of The Sun while waiting.
a while later, i got tired of waiting, and noticed someone who came after me collecting his takeaway order.
i got up and walked to the cashier, and i saw her gesture towards me while looking at her colleagues, as if to say, “ah, there she is!”
my wait felt like forever. i was definitely cranky.
“kenapa lama sangat?” i asked.
“ha? dah lama siap, cik!” she answered.
“tapi, kamu minta saya duduk dan tunggu, kan?”
“order cik dah lama siap!” she repeated.
forget speaking proper malay:
“you suruh saya duduk tunggu, saya duduk tunggu lah. sekarang, fries saya ni, dah sejuk lah, macam mana?” i retorted.
she just looked away.
what is wrong with the picture? was it a miscommunication? i didn’t think so.
fastfood service can be so crap at times.
yeah, mcdonalds service has been pretty bad. especially their delivery service.
first was the spilt porridge. then fries delivered 3/4 full, with an apology only coming an hour later. even my mom has started boycotting them.
only thing they have going are their standard burgers. their service, and their marketing gimmicks (prosperity foldover?!?!) are all down the drain.
yeah. i wanna boycott Burger King too, actually. doesn’t taste as good as before and no longer value for money.
Nothing is more unappetising than a plate of cold fries 😛
