Retro Post

[20/6/2003]

Dad wins a Jaguar X-Type and 100 grand. Feeling happy for him, yet bitter cause none of it will filter down to me. 😛 His Prelude will go to my sister, but while she’s still green at the wheel, I will jaga the car while she drives my old Accord.

To alleviate the yearning to slap my dad upside down for various reasons, Merv and I went to Sg Wang for some retail therapy at our regular PS2 shop. 🙂

Finally got back the Waja from the service center after leaving it there for two nights. Proton’s alarm systems really suck. Proton Edar’s service people suck too. To think they actually called me up to find out Netstar’s number.. God ..

Even after hanging out at Sri Hartamas with old schoolmates till pre-dawn, I somehow managed to get up early to drive to Melaka for a regatta. Wasn’t expecting the motel room to have a TV set, otherwise I’d have taken along my PS2. Woo, you know I love my PS2, doncha? 😀

Mamaked with the PS2 + MRC gang. Tiffany was there too. Talked about indian horror movies among other things. Adjourned to MRC for some UT2003 shoot-to-kill therapy. Reached home at 1:45. Read Beck chapter 33. Dropped with a sign at 2:00.

Feeling groggy. Can’t concentrate in class. Thinking about my PS2.

Damn, I’m lazy.

This site is dead. 😛 So much for setting up this blog. It’s my weakness for wanting something and then forgetting it so soon. Call me spoilt if you want, but it’s not like I’m telling everyone to come here and see all the schtuff I put out.

Looks like I’ll need to change some of the settings to make the site seem less empty.

Went to MRC last weekend for a BF session with Azuan, Vincent, and Wan Yee. After that we stopped by the nearest cafe for a mamak session, where SongJun, Yuming, and b|ur stumbled upon us. And it looks like we’ll be having another CS/BF session next weekend. Ahh, time for some stress relief. We ancient folk may be rusty, but don’t underestimate our skillz. :>

To prepare for the coming match, I’ve been trying to install Desert Combat on my PC at home. First of all, all these cracks I’m trying are crashing my sistem. On top of that, my graphics card wasn’t performing up to par. Turned out that NVidia’s Detonator drivers couldn’t figure out my BH7’s AGP capabilities. After some installations of this and that off Abit’s website, the frame rates picked up tremendously! Hooray, now it’ll be easier for me to ice those Haitians in Vice City!

Now all I need is to fix the game itself. Grr.

Yesterday was pasar malam night, and I so wanted to return my ‘stuff’ in exchange for a ‘better piece of toot’, but all the orangs were not around anymore. I wonder if it’s the same at Low Yat and Sg Wang. Going there this Saturday with Wan Yee to get some memory and anything else that arouses my IT instinct. The memory was supposed to fix my performance problems, but I might as well get another 256MB to top up my system’s thirst for chips.

Hunger. Lunch with mom. Bye! (I bought my mom a ‘tranquility fountain’ for her birthday. 😛 It’s one of those desktop fountains that runs on batteries; kinda cool I think, so I bought some wholesale from a street peddling team near Jln Timur. :D)

Damn, it’s hot.

Back from the seaside. No more breeze to cool me down. Still sweaty all the same.

Saturday morning was a fast one. Worked from 8 to 11, had a small farewell jamuan after that. Don’t really recall what happened after.

Met up with Tiff and Az for yumcha at Sri Hartamas. First taste of Spicy Kitchen’s juices. Talked a lot a bout boox and traffic woes. Realised I haven’t read a book for quite some time. Wondering whether to start. Vince joined us a while later.

Got zoned out quite early that night. Went home. Tried reading some new manga, 20th Century Boys. Ended up reading 72 chapters of it up till 4am.

Time to go. Bowels feel awfully active today.
