my dad was on his way back to KL to pick us up for our trip to balik kampung, when he got into a major accident. he was turning right at a junction to get a rear brake light replaced, when some ass from the opposite direction decided to run a red light.

left side of the car has been totaled. fortunately no one was hurt; fortunately no one was sitting in the car’s passenger seat. but i have a feeling i won’t be seeing the car again. as the car is super old, we only have third party coverage on it.

at least dad’s ok. our trip back has definitely been delayed.

anyways, happy new year and selamat hari raya aidiladha. hope everyone’s enjoying this super long weekend. 🙂

since we’ll be home for a while, and there’s no internet, it’s time to catch up on Grandia 3, then on to Valkyrie Profile 1. yes. 1. i wanna play it before i start VP 2, which is supposed to be real good. shouldn’t take long with a psx emulator and a memory cheat program. 🙂

Anyways, today is stoning Tuesday. After such a hectic, hectic weekend.

Monday night: Yum char with the SMBB science gang at Starbucks Bangsar Village, where Belinda decides to grace us with her presence for that one night. 😛

Monday afternoon: Sent the lil bro to a party at Pantai Dalam. Spent the rest of the evening at Merv’s christmas party with the usual gang.

Sunday morning: Went to Uncle Mahat’s daughter’s wedding at Kampung Batu Laut past Morib. Brought Valeria along for the experience. It’s funny how she’s taking pictures of the proceedings, while others are taking pictures of her. 😛 Food was great! Bryani with the works, and it was really nice. Val got a chance to perform merenjis too.

Saturday: Spent the whole day somewhere. Can’t say where. And it was hella boring.

KW’s back from the UK. for a while. same old guy from when i knew him from secondary school. same old person i met last night, in Bangsar, with Fish & Choo. same old fun, and also the same old annoyances.

honestly, i’m not so fond of his personality. he’s very quick to put people down at any chance. but a friend is a friend nonetheless. just gotta take it in little doses. and like every person, has good qualities to make things easier. 🙂

anyways, one of my wisdom teeth has started acting up again, and it got worse throughout the evening. by the time i got to bed, i couldn’t clench my jaw properly, and i was afraid that a nocturnal teeth-grinding session will happen and make things worse. fortunately, it didn’t, but then i was also feeling a little feverish today; might’ve caught something from Fish. 🙁

a week of courses, while having a lot of crap happening at the office is really tiring. to the mind that is. just thinking about all the problems, instructing my subordinates and sending emails, while trying to remember my object-oriented programming basics.. i think even my body is feeling achy from the brain woes.

then there’s finalising ayin’s contract with bank negara. and going back to shah alam to get a new copy of ayin’s convocation dvd cuz they gave us the wrong one.

argh.. banyak pening! and not enough time to spread it out!

my body has finally seen some work today. mom woke me up from my afternoon slumber and forced me to take the lil bro down to the swimming pool. it was kinda refreshing, but we didn’t stay down there too long. the best part about swimming, for me, is breaking the water after a perfectly executed dive, and feeling the chill of the water rush up to meet and envelop me.

and it pretty much woke me up too.

after that, i did 6 laps of breaststroke, and 1 lap of front crawl. khairil just floated around. he seems to have lost his childhood fondness of water. didn’t want to stay too long, cuz my eyes were probably already red from the chlorine, and they were when i got back to the apartment. was feeling a little bit dizzy too, and my mom sez i might be anemic. it does make sense.. i’m supposed to have a high metabolic rate, but i’ve got low blood pressure at the same time. there used to be episodes where i’d feel woozy if i suddenly stood up from a sitting or lying down position, altho i haven’t done that in quite a while. i think.

time to eat more sotong and kerang! and chocolate! 😛

sent a coupla people some msn ims before lunch. then headed out for errands and meetings and before i realised it, it was already 5.30 and it was straight home from there.

so steph, sarah, and hemlocke.. sorry. 😛

took off to pick up my bro from class. 1pm. lunch. 1.30pm. then i had to go to shah alam to pick up my sister’s convocation dvd. but i left the receipt at the office. so off we went to the office. 2pm. as you can tell, i had to skip prayers. 3pm. got lost in the uitm campus. it’s like a mini putrajaya. dropped my brother home. got back to the office. 4pm. meeting. 5.30pm. the end.

and now: house season 3 episode 10, the oc season 4 episode 7. 😀

yes, i know. i’ve been watching too much House.

couldn’t really sleep well last night. back pain has returned. fortunately, it wasn’t as bad as the last time, where a slight movement can send me screaming. it doesn’t seem to be spinal though, cuz the pain is somewhere under (or on) my right shoulder blade. still, it’s an indication.. so i’d better start back up on my exercise regime.

hear there’ll be a fire drill here at menara TM. think i’ll stick around this time. and meet the dhl grrls. 😛

back to putrajaya: picked up khairil from his camp yesterday. had to skive another 2 hours. :O didn’t get lost this time though, but i just have to mention again how horrendous the signage is in putrajaya. it’s easy getting there, but once you’re there, you’re screwed.

oo, and my aircon is back to normal again. yippie!
